Description | |
Background | Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen (PCNA for short) was first discovered and named by Miyachi et al in 1978 in the serum of patients with SLE (systemic lupus erythematosus), because it only exists in normal proliferating cells and tumor cells. The study found that PCNA is closely related to cell DNA synthesis, plays an important role in the initiation of cell proliferation, and is a good indicator to reflect the state of cell proliferation. |
